HiFi Speakers

Firstly after much deliberation last year I took the plunge and purchased a set of LS50 Meta. Stunning build quality and visuals sat on my Q Acoustics Concept 20 stands. But could I love them? No! They would make perfect near field monitors but they could in no way satisfy me in my 16 metre square room running on my Arcam SA30/ST60 set up. Not full range enough. I had Q Acoustic Concept 20’s before that, also 3030i and 3050i on a Yamaha RN803d. Sublime sound from that set up with the towers being a tad too much. Again with much deliberation and wanting a tower, considering room size, I went for the Q750. After about 30 hours run in and playing with positioning I can now say I am very happy with the sound I am hearing. Speakers 3 metres apart, listening position about the same, about 5 degrees angled in and they are producing rich, balanced, accurate music with controlled base enough for my room. The stage is large and the imaging perfect with me always looking at my surround system centre speaker thinking the voice is coming from there. It isn’t! Do not angle these in too much! The tweeter can sound a little too metallic, precise. A little angle does it. Overall, very happy with the Q750’s.
